Fletcher, Ann, of Mockerkin in Loweswater (-1689)

Fletcher, Ann, of Mockerkin in Loweswater (-1689)

Daughter of John Tiffin of Mockerkin and sister of John Tiffin of Mockerkin.

Married William Fletcher of Mockerkin. Ann, like her brother, was a Quaker; but her husband wasn’t.

Ann died soon after her husband, actually before his will was proved.

Her will, not suprisingly, references many Quakers. Her bequests to her children appear more generous than her husband's. Maybe that's a mother; maybe that because they had got to a particular age; maybe Ann had a Tiffin dower that she was now exercising.
