Danson, John, of Mockerkin in Loweswater (died 1634)

Danson, John, of Mockerkin in Loweswater (died 1634)

The eldest legitimate son of Peter Danson of Mockerkin.

If so, it is odd on the surface that he hadn't taken over the running of the family property in Mockerkin. The probate material emphasises that he was boarding with Ellen Wilson in Mockerkin. That would be understandable if he were physically or mentally incapable to some degree.

He mentioned his mother and sister in his will, which was nuncupative.

Ellen Wilson owed him money at his death, as did John Dickinson of High Trees in Lamplugh.
