Memorand that this is the last will and testament of me Daniel Dickinson of Streetgate in the parish of Lamplugh in the County of Cumberland, yeoman, as followeth.




Imp

I give to my eldest son John Dickinson half of All my husbandry gear And all my books but that he give unto each of his brothers and sisters a Bible good and legible.

Item

I give unto Faith my daughter five shillings and to every of her children five shillings each


Use of my goods & chattels & mortgages whatsoever I give and bequeath unto Ellen my wife, And to Abigail, Joseph, Deborah and Isaac my younger children,

And

I do make my said four younger children viz Abigail Dickinson Joseph Dickinson Deborah Dickinson and Isaac Dickinson Joint executors of this my last will,

And

my will and mind is that Ellen my loving wife shall have a full share of all my personal estate so long as she keep to herself a widow and unmarried but if she shall happen to marry again after my decease, then my will and mind is that she shall not then have any part of my personal estate but that it shall all go to my forenamed executors;

And

I do nominate & define my wife, my son John Dickinson and my son-in-law John Hamilton to see this my last will duly operated,



In witness whereof I the said Daniel Dickinson have hereunto put my hand and seal the eighteenth day of December AD 1699.
