Woodside, John, of Whitehaven (-1662)

Apparently a mariner. He made a will in 1656/7, when he was in good health, so presumably then was about to embark on a voyage. Owned half of the 'Unicorn'.

Married Christabel Hamilton after the death of her first husband.

His inventory, in March 1661/2, wasn't large (at around £76), and the Unicorn accounted for £50 of that. His Bondsmen were David Hamilton (his wife's brother-in-law) and Pickering Hewer (formerly curate of St Bees, but then resident in Lamplugh).
