Copeland - The Later Churches
The later churches are those churches that opened their doors after the time when the Bishop ceased to collect his annual transcripts. The consequence for the family historian is that entries for these churches will not be found in the International Genealogical Index. In Cumberland the IGI was largely based upon the Bishops Transcripts.
