Oswald Woodall (-1646)

Oswald was eldest son of Thomas Woodall by his first wife Mary. He is described in the 1628 will of his uncle Oswald as 'son of my brother Thomas'.

He made his will in 1646, when he appointed his wife Agnes as executrix. His will mentions children: Oswald, John, Thomas, Isabel and Agnes. The last four were minors (for tuition) at his death, and appointed co-executors with their mother.

As his father was likely born around 1565, he was probably born in the late 1590s. His son Oswald would have been at least 15 in 1646, which would would suggest he married Agnes in the very late 1620s (or even 1630), when he would have been in his early 30s.

There is no Dean register for this period. He is listed in the Dean Protestation.

Children

The lack of a register makes this a rather dead generation. The only of his children who gets a further mention in the records is his eldest son Oswald.
