Fletcher, Sarah, of Mockerkin in Loweswater (-1702)
Quaker. Widow of Lancelot Fletcher of Mockerkin (died 1698).
As both Christopher Pearson of Ullock in Dean and his son John were appointed to look after the interests of her children, there is a strong likelihood of a family tie of some sort. The problem is - I can't find it!
The probate inventory includes as an asset £30 'laid upon land by mortgage', so it looks as though the property was mortgaged out temporarily. The girls were given respectable inheritances (Janet £30, Ann £20, and Elizabeth £30) which, together with a part inheritance of the farm, would have been sufficient to find them husbands within the Quaker community.
