This archive is the product of a long development. Originally published under Squarespace version 5, it has migrated to the much superior Squarespace version 6. This migration has had advantages and disadvantages.
The principle disadvantage is that the migration work isn't yet complete, so you can't yet search the new version as fully as the old. If you wish to do so, you can still search the original archive at: MY OLD SITE.
The two main things that remain to be done:
- each document should contain an image of Petra's transcription, a brief description written by Petra, and a searchable text version of the document. All documents have the image, but only a small proportion have the rest;
- each document should have a top button so that you can return to the layer above. This has only been done for three so far! But if you've arrived at a document from the layer above, you can return by using your browser's back button.
Petra has been immaculate in constructing titles, categories and tags. She was limited, as she comments in her preface, by the number of surnames she could tag in each of the original 'sets' (ie 'blogs'). Now that 11 sets of maybe 200+ posts each have been reconstructed into a little less than 100 blogs, with a maximmum of 30 posts in each, there is probably room to categorise and tag everything (categories and tags are limited per blog, not per archive). That's another project.
Searching
A Google custom search engine is at the bottom of each page..
